I do remember well where I should be,
And there I am. – Where is my Romeo?
(Noises can be heard from outside.)
Friar Laurence: I hear some noise. Juliet, come from that nest
Of death, contagion, and unnatural sleep.
A greater power than we can contradict
Has stopped our intents. Come, come away.
Your husband and Paris, too, here lie dead.
Come, I’ll take you to a convent of holy nuns.
Don’t ask me questions, for the watch is coming.
Come, come, good Juliet. I dare no longer stay.
Juliet: Go, go away, good friar. I will not follow you.

(Exit Friar Laurence and Juliet starts looking around in despair)
What’s here? A cup closed in my true love’s hand?
Poison, I see, has been his timeless end.
O naughty boy! Drunk all, and left no friendly drop
To help me after? I will kiss your lips.
Perhaps some poison still remains on them,
To make me die. (She kisses him)
Your lips are warm.

(Voices can be heard at the entrance of the vault.)
Yea, noise? - Then I’ll be brief. – O happy dagger.
(She picks up Romeo’s dagger)
Rest in my body and let me die!
(She stabs herself and dies)
