The protagonist is the writer herself; in fact, she writes a chronicle of her year of spiritual and personal exploration, spent travelling abroad. She starts travelling after her divorce and she spends four months in Italy, eating and enjoying life (Eat), then 3 months in India, finding her spirituality (Pray), and ends the year in Bali looking for the balance of the two and finds love when she meets a TITLE: Brazilian businessman (Love). In 2010, the book became a film, starring Julia Roberts as Elizabeth, AUTHOR: and Javier Bardem. The book has been very successful PUBLISHED IN: (187 weeks on the best-seller list of The New York Times ) and there are TYPE OF BOOK: lots of reviews on it, a few of them not so positive.
