I don t know enough to decide... - We don t have enough information to attempt gene therapy in humans yet - I m for somatic-cell gene therapy but against germ-cell therapy, which alters sex cells for all generations to come I m so against! - Gene therapy should be banned - Gene therapy could be very dangerous if not done correctly - Somebody might try to create the  perfect race  or  designer babies  ACTIVITIES - Stem cells can help cure diseases and repair or replace damaged tissue or cells - Advanced research will allow to obtain pluripotent stem cells without the use of embryos CLONING I m definitely for! - Cloning could help improve the genetics of the human race - Cloning human organs could save lives - Cloning may lead to the creation of animal organs usable for humans - The technological benefits of cloning outweigh the possible consequences I m torn between both sides. I don t know enough to decide... I m so against! - Cloning should only be used to produce organs for medical purposes - I oppose reproductive cloning but support therapeutic cloning - I have some reservations about what it will do to human genetic diversity - Cloning is immoral, unethical, and/or dangerous and it should be banned - Cloning may reduce genetic variability and interfere with natural evolution - Cloning seems like  playing God  - The ability to clone humans may lead to the genetic tailoring of offspring MICROBES: FRIENDS AND FOES Module 4 169
