 On Hair è rivolto agli studenti iscritti ai percorsi di istruzione e formazione professionale e ai percorsi di qualifica e diploma professionale nel settore dei servizi, indirizzo di Acconciatura, e, più in generale, a chi opera nel settore, in quanto finalizzato all’acquisizione di competenze linguistiche specifiche del settore.
 
 Grazie alla ricchezza del materiale proposto, On Hair – concepito per promuovere un apprendimento attivo basato sui contenuti (contentbased learning) – offre la possibilità di scegliere gli argomenti sia in base ai programmi delle materie di indirizzo, sia in base al livello di competenza linguistica degli studenti.
 
 I brani, autentici o appositamente pensati per il profilo di apprendente a cui il corso è indirizzato, sono tratti da fonti diverse: giornali e riviste, libri e manuali, materiale promozionale e siti web.
 
 La struttura dell’opera
 Il testo si articola in 4 sezioni:
 
 1. Student’s book – 13 unità organizzate intorno ad un unico nucleo tematico e con la seguente struttura: <ul><li>Vocabulary: lessico specifico dell’unità corredato da immagini ed esercizi e con la traduzione dei termini.
</li><li>Skills: brani riguardanti aspetti specifici della professione corredati di glossario, seguiti da attività di comprensione, scrittura, ascolto e dialoghi.
</li><li>Communication: attività di Listening, Speaking, Writing, Role play, Real-life task legate alla fraseologia di carattere professionale proposta.
</li></ul>2. Vocabulary bank – sezione di riferimento lessicale con termini specifici del settore divisi per categorie logiche e per unità.
 
 3. Workbook – eserciziario, per consolidare i contenuti e la lingua appresi nel corso, diviso nelle sezioni di Vocabulary, Skills, Communication e Translation.
 
 4. Grammar – ampia sezione che riprende tutta la grammatica di livello A2/B1 con schemi semplici ma completi e che la consolida e potenzia con numerosi esercizi in contesto. Materiali integrativi
 • TEACHER’S BOOK. Programmazione didattica per modulo, audioscripts delle attività di ascolto, soluzioni degli esercizi a risposta chiusa e suggerimenti per la correzione di quelli a risposta aperta, note didattiche, prove di verifica formativa per ogni Unità per accertare le competenze acquisite.
 
 • ONLINE RESOURCES. Video e file audio formato mp3 con la registrazione delle attività di ascolto, corredati da attività di comprensione, attività ludiche per favorire l’apprendimento linguistico, attività di real life per simulare situazioni lavorative quotidiane, prove di verifica formativa per ogni Unità per accertare le competenze acquisite in formato editabile.

CUTTING skillS Consultation before cutting W hen a client comes into the salon for a cut, it is important for the stylist to conduct a thorough consultation with him or her. The stylist s aim is to visualise exactly what the client requires. One method of doing this is, for example, to sit the client down and make sure he/she is comfortable, to question and actively listen to his/her requirements, to use stylebooks or magazines to illustrate the proposed look (even special apps are available nowadays) and understand the client s expectations in detail. Another crucial aspect of consultation is the visual and manual check of the hair and scalp of the client to identify any influencing factors and discuss them with him or her (i.e. scalp sensitivity and /or hair and skin disorders and diseases), but many other factors can influence a cut service such as, for example: hair classification, head, face and body shape, hair length and density, client lifestyle  It is really important for the stylist to tell the client his/her   aim: scopo, obiettivo opinions and make sure   broader: più ampio the ideas are shared by both   expectation: aspettativa the stylist and the client before   nowadays: attualmente, al giorno the service starts: d oggi   to share: condividere better consultations will result   thorough: accurato, meticoloso in better haircuts! 5 A B C Match the words to their definitions. 1.
