7. Reading a doctor’s prescription can be difficult, not only because doctors are famous for their bad handwriting, but especially because they use abbreviations, often of Latin origin. Look at the prescription below and answer the questions.
1. Search the internet and find out the meaning of the following acronyms: DEA, NPI and NKDA.
2. Which country do the doctor and patient live in?
3. When was the patient born?
4. What’s the date of the prescription?
5. Using the notes provided, write down the meaning of the prescription.
8. Write prescriptions for the following:
- Bentatol 200 milligrams, injection into vein, 2 times a day, before meals.
