 DigiWorld è un corso di inglese specialistico per i settori Elettronica, Elettrotecnica e Automazione e Informatica e Telecomunicazioni.
 
 I contenuti sono ordinati secondo criteri di graduale complessità concettuale e linguistica e vengono esplorati utilizzando le quattro abilità in modo omogeneo e integrato. I brani offrono un assortimento di stili, registri e livelli di difficoltà.
 
 La struttura
 DigiWorld è fruibile secondo due percorsi facilmente identificabili graficamente: un percorso segue la programmazione di elettronica, elettrotecnica ed automazione, il secondo quello di informatica e telecomunicazioni. Alcune Unità/Moduli coprono aree trasversali di interesse comune.
 
 DigiWorld è diviso in sei Moduli, ognuno dei quali è ripartito in un numero variabile di Unità.
 
 Ogni Unità è suddivisa in brevi Capitoli su due pagine – teoria ed esercizi – per favorire uno studio più parcellizzato e la scelta antologica da parte dell’insegnante. Brevi link (curiosità, ampliamenti, rimandi, attività o mini-approfondimenti) arricchiscono i brani per consentire una maggiore interattività. Un ricco apparato iconografico correda i brani di lettura, per ognuno dei quali è previsto un esauriente glossario.
 
 Al termine di ogni Unità sono presenti le seguenti sezioni:
 
 <ul><li>Vocabulary: Esercizi di revisione e consolidamento;</li><li>Mapping your mind: Mappa riepilogativa.
</li></ul> Alla fine di ogni Modulo, il testo propone ulteriori attività:
 
 <ul><li>Real-life skills: Compiti di realtà e collaborativi, lavori di gruppo con un taglio di tipo pratico calato nella realtà;
</li><li>Case study: Argomento di attualità corredato di esercizi mirati all’approfondimento e alla discussione;
</li><li>Clip: Breve clip tratta da film attinenti agli argomenti del Modulo;
</li><li>Citizenship: Attività che prendono spunto da contenuti dell’unità per agganciarsi a tematiche legate all’educazione civica e alla cittadinanza.</li></ul>

CLIP FILM JOBS : Biography / dramatic GENRE : Joshua Michael Stern DIRECTOR : 2013 YEAR : Ashton Kutcher (Steve Jobs), Josh Gad (Steve Wozniak), Lukas Haas (Daniel Kottke), Matthew Modine (John Sculley), Abby Brammell (Laurene Powell Jobs) CHARACTERS SYNOPSIS is an American film released in 2013 based on the biography of charismatic Steve Jobs, and CEO of Apple. The film opens with Steve Jobs introducing the iPod at the Apple Town Hall meeting in 2001, then the film goes back to Steve’s college years, in the 1970’s, during which he is interested in calligraphy courses and influenced by a trip to India and LSD experiences. Two years later, when Steve is back in California and works as a game developer for Atari, he develops a partnership with his friend Steve “Woz” Wozniak, who makes a prototype for a “personal home computer” (the Apple I). They decide to commercialise it and call their company Apple Computer. Jobs convinces his father Paul to let them their new company in the family’s garage. He also Kottke, his college friend, engineer Bill Fernandez and young neighbour Chris Espinosa to the Apple team. Unfortunately, Apple I is not a success, so Steve decides to restart with a new model he calls Apple II, which is launched at the 1977 West Coast Computer Faire, where it is a great success. The success causes Steve growing problems with his friends and team members. In 1984, he moves from Apple Lisa (a desktop computer released in 1983) to Macintosh Group, but in 1985 John Sculley, CEO of the company, of the group. Then the film jumps to 1996: Steve is married to Laurene Powell Jobs, has a son and a daughter and also NeXT. When Apple buys NeXT, CEO Gil Amelio asks Jobs to return to Apple as a consultant. Steve is soon named the new CEO, then he fires Amelio and the of Directors. He then reinvents Apple. The film ends with Jobs recording the dialogue for the Think Different commercial, an advertising slogan used by Apple Computer, Inc. from 1997 to 2002.
